Before you start
- A linked customer account
- A date range that includes the transactions being discussed
Complete the workflow
- 1
Select the customer
Search by customer name, number, phone or email and confirm that you have opened the correct account.
- 2
Choose the period
Set the statement dates and branch scope. The opening balance represents posted activity before the start date.
- 3
Review allocations
Trace invoices, receipts, deposits, credit notes and adjustments. Open source documents when a payment or balance is disputed.
- 4
Issue the statement
Generate the current statement only after verifying the closing balance, customer contact details and currency.
Useful tips
- A receipt can exist before allocation; review unapplied customer deposits when balances look unexpected.
- Use customer communications to retain a record of statement delivery and follow-up.
Troubleshooting
The statement balance looks incomplete
Expand the dates, check branch access and verify that invoices and receipts are posted rather than draft.
