Any one of these grants access. Ask an administrator if the screen is not visible to you.
Before you start
- A sender email address
- SMTP credentials or a Resend API key
- A domain authorized by the selected provider
Complete the workflow
- 1
Choose a provider
Use Resend for a managed transactional email API, or SMTP when your email provider supplies a public mail hostname, secure port, username and password.
- 2
Set the sender identity
Enter the name and address customers should recognize. Add a reply-to address when customer replies belong in a different mailbox.
- 3
Enter credentials
Provide the selected provider secret. MultiPOS encrypts it at rest and never returns it to the browser; leaving a configured secret blank keeps the stored value.
- 4
Save before enabling
Enable delivery only after the selected provider is complete. Newly queued tenant email then uses this provider while SMS and WhatsApp remain on the communications webhook.
- 5
Send a test
Save the configuration, send a test to an address you can inspect, and confirm the sender, reply-to and provider reference before relying on storefront codes.
Useful tips
- Use a restricted Resend sending key where possible.
- Prefer STARTTLS on port 587 or SSL/TLS on port 465.
- Changing providers does not expose or delete previously stored secrets.
Troubleshooting
Resend rejects the sender
Verify the sender domain in Resend and confirm the API key can send from that domain.
SMTP cannot connect
Confirm the public hostname, secure port, credentials and outbound firewall rules, then send another test.
Storefront codes remain queued
Confirm email is enabled and READY, then review the last provider error on this screen.
