Before you start
- A reviewed chart of accounts
- Business base currency
- Finance administration permission
Complete the workflow
- 1
Review default accounts
Confirm account codes, types and normal balances. System accounts can be renamed where allowed but should not be repurposed.
- 2
Complete mappings
Map tax, inventory, receivables, payables, revenue, cash, loyalty, vouchers and payment methods to valid accounts.
- 3
Open accounting periods
Transactions can post only into an open period. Use locks and closes to protect reviewed results.
- 4
Run diagnostics
Resolve missing mappings and unposted operational sources before relying on trial balance, profit and loss, or balance sheet reports.
Useful tips
- Correct posted journals with reversals, never deletion.
- Restrict setup permission separately from financial report access.
Troubleshooting
An operation reports a missing accounting mapping
Open Accounting Setup, assign the named mapping to an active account, then retry the operation.
